The Liquid Intelligence 236 Anti-Shudder Additive is designed to provide boosted friction modification to fortify an ATF Fluid. These additives enhance worn component performance and helps keep them functioning correctly thus restoring the transmissions smoothness.
The friction modifiers also help improve the performance of the automatic’s planetary gears, bands and clutches, shift valves, servos and accumulators, governor and modulator
- Liquid Intelligence 236 treat rate is 50mls (one syringe) per 5litres of ATF.
- Liquid Intelligence 236 is safe to use in most automatic transmissions and is compatible with conventional and synthetic ATF’s. It is not recommended for use in ZF, CVT’s or DSG transmissions. Or any frictional type transmissions that requires a very specific high friction ATF fluid.
- Liquid Intelligence 236 will instantly eliminate torque converter shudder and automatic transmission clutch chatter. If the shudder / chatter continues after adding Liquid Intelligence 236 then that may indicate the wear or damage is to pronounced and mechanical fix is required.
- The Liquid Intelligence 236 additive exceeds all ATF OEM specifications, by lowering the co-efficient of friction and increasing its fluid film strength, thus helping to modify shudder, chatter and harsh gear shifts.

Transmission Accumulator
Accumulator piston shudder or sticking causes sudden and harsh automatic gear changing. The enhanced friction modification of 236 prevents the accumulator piston from sticking or rocking on the worn bore of an accumulator. Common symptoms of a worn accumulator piston are fast sharp extremely harsh shifting.
A spring keeps the accumulator piston at the top of its bore when the transmission is idling (as shown in the diagram). As pressure increases from acceleration the accumulator piston is allowed to stroke downward in its bore. This action absorbs some of the pressure from the transmission fluid softening and delaying the shift. |
