Super Waterless Coolant
Liquid Intelligence 115 is a synthetic, waterless nano-fluid coolant made with S.M.A.R.T Fluid Technology™, formulated to protect engines under extreme running conditions. It's a ready-to-use, total-fill coolant, and its thermal efficiency comes from a three-way action.
Its synthetic base gives boil-over protection to 190°C and freeze protection to −56°C. It has advanced aluminium and magnesium corrosion protection, and won't damage copper, solder, brass, mild steel or cast iron.
Water50/50 water and glycolLiquid Intelligence 115 at 195°C
Its waterless technology means no cooling system pressure, and without water vapour there's less stress on hoses and head gaskets. Take out the water and you take out the catalyst for corrosion and erosion, so 115 stops cylinder liner cavitation and erosion, eliminates scaling and stops electrolysis.
That makes one half of its double-action corrosion protection; the other is a long-life organic carboxylate corrosion inhibitor system. An ordinary antifreeze has only minimal protection against rust, scale and corrosion. The tap water people add to it usually contains minerals that can quickly overcome its inhibitors, and its additive package is used up whether the vehicle is driven or not. 115 is as close as a coolant can come to being totally corrosion-proof.
Its nano heat-conductor particles make it more thermally efficient. A nanoparticle has at least one dimension smaller than 100 nanometres, and the smaller a particle, the larger its surface area for its volume. That lets the particles respond quickly to rising temperatures and absorb and dissipate heat faster, so 115 dissipates more heat, using less coolant, in a shorter time. In a pressurised cooling system, that's a 30% increase in thermal efficiency compared with all conventional coolants.
One 1 cm blockCut into 1 mm cubesGround into 1 nm particles: about 6,000 m², roughly one and a half acres
Being waterless doesn't mean 115 contains no water at all. Its glycol base is saturated with heat-dissipating compounds and a small amount of DD-Water®, water processed with a proprietary treatment, which is present only bonded to those compounds and never as free water. So 115 is a waterless coolant, but it can't be classed as a non-aqueous coolant.
Where to use it
115 suits all water-cooled engines, whatever their make, model or age: vintage, classic and late-model vehicles, work and recreational vehicles, boats and farm machinery.
Vintage and classic vehicles
It's particularly recommended for vintage and classic cars with overheating problems and low or no-pressure, or thermo-cycling, cooling systems.
High-performance and modified vehicles
For high-performance, purpose-built engines. More power means more heat.
Diesel engines and generator sets
In diesel engines and generator sets, 115 also prevents pump cavitation, and its long-life technology gives 12,000 hours in heavy-duty diesel use.
Dirt bikes
A dirt bike has a small radiator, no fan, low airflow and big torque at low speed, so it's hard to keep from overheating on tight trails or in steep, rough country. For bikes there's 115 Motorcycle Super Waterless Coolant, in a 1.5 litre can.
Why engines overheat
Over 50% of engine failures can be attributed to cooling system failure, and an engine can overheat before its coolant reaches full boil.
Nucleate boiling and vapour blanketing
Coolant quenches heat by nucleate boiling. Where it touches the hot metal of the engine block and cylinder heads, a thin film of it boils; the vapour bubbles break away from the surface and cooler coolant immediately takes their place.
A vintage or classic engine generally runs at around 80°C, but not up hills on a hot day or in stop-start city traffic. When an engine runs continually above its normal temperature, nucleate boiling slows or stops. A layer of vapour, a "vapour blanket", holds the coolant away from the metal and insulates it, and the engine temperature climbs: the gauge goes past normal and heads for the red. The coolant may not be at full boil, but the cooling system is no longer working effectively, and pulling over to let the engine cool down is usually the only option.
115's waterless formulation keeps working at much higher temperatures. Its density and thermal stability keep heat quenching going without a break, even in the most adverse and extreme running conditions. It keeps vapour-free liquid-to-metal contact at all coolant temperatures and engine loads, so the metal is never insulated from the coolant and the normal engine operating temperature is never exceeded.
Boiling point isn't what you think it is
A coolant's boiling point is the temperature at which its vapour pressure equals the pressure around it, so it changes with the pressure in the cooling system. It's the point of full boil, with coolant pumping out of the radiator, and vapour blanketing starts before it. In a no or low pressure vintage or classic cooling system:
Water boils at 100°C, and vapour blanketing starts at around 90°C.
50/50 water and glycol boils at 104°C, and vapour blanketing starts at around 95°C.
Liquid Intelligence 115 will never boil.
Testing and standards
115 meets or exceeds the specifications of AS 2108.2004, the Australian Standard coolant test methods, which set a minimum benchmark for every coolant. The standard mirrors the Japanese, British and American standards and most OEM coolant standards, so 115 also complies with their technical specifications.
The standard is made up of 16 ASTM test methods: corrosion in glassware (D1384) and in simulated service (D2570), cavitation and erosion-corrosion of aluminium pumps (D2809), corrosion of cast aluminium alloys under heat-rejecting conditions (D4340), the coolant's effect on rubber hose and other rubbers (D380, D412, D471, D2240, D3183), foaming (D1881), pH (D1287), ash content (D1119), density (D1122), freezing point (D1177), flash and fire points (D92) and trace chloride (D3634).
115 has been tested to the standard by the consulting services of two Australian universities and by Intertek Laboratories. The most telling result is the ASTM D1384 glassware corrosion test: 115 had zero corrosion on all the metals found in an automotive cooling system. That's an uncommonly good result, one that would put it in the top 1% of reputable automotive coolants in the world.
Testing 115's corrosion inhibitors to ASTM D1384The test runs over several days and is repeated for verification.
115 has also been field tested over eight years and 900,000 kilometres in commercial vehicles. It's developed and made in Australia by an Australian-owned company, and covered by Australian product liability insurance.

My NZGT Evo 7 has had an on-going issue of over-heating, regularly seeing temperatures above 100deg Celsius, and I spent a lot of time and money trying to solve the problem by adding a larger radiator, bigger fans, using different water additives, adding expansion tanks, increasing the system pressure by using a high pressure cap (25psi) and increasing the water capacity by adding another tank, all of which were a waste of time and money as the problem was still there in some form or another. This route saw a couple of expensive race heads get hot spots on them and eventually they would just not cope and the head would either crack or warp due to the hot spots created by water boiling in the head.
Then a friend suggested Liquid Intelligence 115 so I looked on the website and thought the claims on there were too good to be true so I went to visit Roy King and told him my problem. After Roy explained how water reacts in a cooling system and how these hot spots come about it was clear to see that water, with no matter what additive you add, will just not give your engine the protection it deserves and at some stage it will have a problem caused by the heat the engine generates or indeed by the high pressure that some people, including myself at one stage, are running.
I got rid of all of the extra bits I had added, put a low pressure (14psi) radiator cap on then filled the system with Liquid Intelligence 115 as per Roy’s directions and went racing. The car, in open air, stayed at a steady 78–80deg Celsius and in heavy traffic (following another car or cars closely for a few laps) the max temperature the car reached was 87deg Celsius, to say I was happy was an understatement. With the car parked back in the pit garages directly after racing, with no air going through the radiator, the temperature stayed between 83–88deg, cycling on and off the fan, you could actually feel the heat being drawn out of the engine by this product and because it does not boil and create pressure you can actually take the radiator cap off and see the liquid doing its job.
I would not hesitate to recommend Liquid Intelligence 115 to anyone that wants to look after their engine, no matter what the application.

My All-Wheel-Drive Holden Adventra has a 6.8 litre 418ci LS3 stroker built engine with twin R35 Garrett turbos. The engine dyno pulled 516 kW and 1600nm at all four wheels.
I use Liquid Intelligence 115 Synthetic Waterless Coolant in my OEM standard radiator. And with all this extra power and heat being generated, the engine temperature has never exceeded 90°C.
More power equals more heat… no traditional coolant can cope with this type of horse power. Liquid Intelligence 115 Synthetic Waterless Coolant is the only coolant that can keep my engine running within its normal running temperature parameters. I thoroughly recommend Liquid Intelligence 115 for all high performance engines.

My cooling system was filled with Liquid Intelligence 115 and ran at around 85–90 degrees Celsius all weekend.
The impressive aspect though was that at the end of the race when the engine was shut down there was no increase in temperature or overflow due to expansion. A distinct change from other coolants we have used.

I’m Mike Reiter and I manage a pastoral lease located in North Queensland. The property is currently running a mixed herd of 9,000 head. When mustering it’s hard to keep the dirt bikes from overheating, especially when herding at low speed on those very hot days. Most of our ATV’s will overheat and go into limp mode… this has always been a problem for us in the hotter months.
We found Liquid Intelligence 115 on the web and spoke to Peter. He guaranteed he could fix our overheating problems using his waterless coolant. I was a bit doubtful so I only purchased enough to do one of the ATV’s. We ran it for a few months without any overheating problems. But what sold me was when we had a week of almost 50°C days. All the bikes overheated except the ATV with the waterless coolant… We now have Peter’s waterless coolant in all the bikes and a few generators and pumps. I’m very happy to recommend this fantastic intelligent liquid to anybody.

We are running mesh screen on our ATV 800s to keep grass seeds from blocking the radiators. However the screens still get blocked causing reduced air flow through the radiators. And in our summer heat this causes plenty of serious problems with the ATVs overheating… especially because these quads work hard all day doing general work and mustering.
We started using Liquid Intelligence 115 in the ATVs with great success. We still have grass seeds blocking the radiator screens and very hot days but the constant overheating problems have all gone. Liquid Intelligence 115 Coolant has without doubt improved the reliability of our work quads. We are very happy to recommend this fantastic new coolant to anybody.

Over the many years of my involvement in the motor industry I witnessed many lubricant and coolant products that were developed to rectify design faults in mass produced vehicles.
The Liquid Intelligence 115 High Temperature Coolant is by far the most successful engine over heating design fault rectifier that I have ever used.
Over the 50 years I have been restoring veteran, vintage and classic cars I have found that one of most prevalent design faults in these vehicles involves the cooling system.
My 1904, 1906 and 1909 Fords are especially prone to over heating as do others in my car collection.
I have personally tested and will continue to use Liquid Intelligence 115 High Temperature Coolant in my early Fords. Under rally conditions it has totally eliminated the overheating and boil-over problems I was experiencing.
My cars are now able to be used and are no longer just curiosities destined for a museum.
I am enthusiastic about this product and I have no hesitation in endorsing it. In fact I’m so impressed with its performance that I asked the manufacturer to allow me to introduce it to my friends and colleagues in the Veteran, Vintage and Classic car movement.
Eliminating the overheating problem will enable more of these wonderful vehicles to get back on to the road.

ILS Engineering is a specialist in preventative maintenance and contract servicing of diesel generators, vacuum pumps, blowers & compressors.
After years of servicing and repairing diesel generators we have seen one particular recurring problem that is common to most makes and models… that is cavitation erosion.
Cavitation erosion can eventually causes the engine to fail without a lot of notice… this can be seriously expensive to repair and often involves inconvenient down time for the generators in question.
We have repaired many wet-sleeve liners that have been damaged by cavitation erosion. The pitting can penetrate the liner wall until perforations go all the way through to the combustion chamber even though a good reputable big brand coolant was used in its cooling system.
About 5 years ago I was introduced to Liquid Intelligence 115 Synthetic Waterless Coolant as a preventative maintenance product that would prevent or stop wet-sleeve liner cavitation erosion.
Liquid Intelligence 115 performed as advertised and totally eliminated cavitation erosion and corrosion… our service engineers have not replaced any wet-sleeves damaged by erosion since.
We are extremely happy with this coolant… its saved our service customers thousands of dollars in maintenance costs… and further improved our reputation as leaders in this industry. We thoroughly recommend it.
