From 1910 – 2005 the Trevan Family owned and operated the Ford Dealership in Lismore.
Over the many years of my involvement in the motor industry I witnessed many lubricant and coolant products that were developed to rectify design faults in mass produced vehicles. The Liquid Intelligence 115 High Temperature Coolant is by far the most successful engine over heating design fault rectifier that I have ever used. Over the 50 years I have been restoring veteran, vintage and classic cars I have found that one of most prevalent design faults in these vehicles involves the cooling system. My 1904, 1906 and 1909 Fords are especially prone to over heating as do others in my car collection. I have personally tested and will continue to use Liquid Intelligence 115 High Temperature Coolant in my early Fords. Under rally conditions it has totally eliminated the overheating and boil-over problems I was experiencing. My cars are now able to be used and are no longer just curiosities destined for a museum. I am enthusiastic about this product and I have no hesitation in endorsing it. In fact I’m so impressed with its performance that I asked the manufacturer to allow me to introduce it to my friends and colleagues in the Veteran, Vintage and Classic car movement. Eliminating the overheating problem will enable more of these wonderful vehicles to get back on to the road. |

With the cessation of WW I in 1918 it was a case of RH quickly setting up branches in Casino, Kyogle, Murwillumbah, Mullumbimby and Ballina to take advantage of the sales that had the “T” holding 50% of the market.

By 1927 the Trevan outlets had sold 1750 Model T’s but with the Ford Motor Company starting to manufacture in Geelong in 1925 there came the push for more sales and Ford was soon to start implementing it’s policy of breaking up the territories of big dealers to give localised areas to cashed up independent operators. Ford started to take RH’s branches away and by the late 1930’s he was left with only Lismore and Ballina territories. | ||
When WW II broke out the Trevan operation was classified as an essential industry which meant that the firm was to be on call 24 hours per day to service the army vehicles based locally and especially at the Evans Head training airport. After the cessation of WW II in 1945 it was back to selling the Ford product (if the dealers could get any!)
